How Scribsy works

You write the way you always have. Underneath, Scribsy turns your words into a map of your story, and that map powers everything else.

  1. You write

Chapters, notes, a braindump at midnight.

  2. Scribsy reads

Who's who, where things happen, what changed.

  3. Everything works

Help that fits the story you're telling.

  1. Write like you always do.

Type in Brainstorm or start on chapter one. There's nothing to tag and nothing to set up. Scribsy never generates prose, so every sentence is yours.

  2. Your words become a map.

As you write, Scribsy reads your manuscript and your notes and builds the understanding underneath them: the people, the places, the things, and how each one changes from chapter to chapter.

  3. Help made for your story.

Scribsy knows the world you're building and who lives in it, so its help is shaped by your own pages. Ask about your book and the answer comes with the passages behind it.

  4. Plan it all, or find it as you go.

Outline every beat first or make it up as you write. Scribsy meets you where you are. Choose how often it speaks up: Quiet, Companion or Coach.

  5. New ways around your book.

The same map powers the rest. Your story bible fills itself in, a character's card comes back when the character does, and Story Galaxy shows your whole world at once.
