Website and waitlist privacy

This notice covers the Scribsy marketing website and November waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not create a Scribsy product account. This form does not ask for your manuscript.

What we collect and why

We use your email address to confirm your request, maintain your place on the waitlist, and send waitlist access updates. We record when and where you signed up, confirmation status, and your email choices so we can honor them.

We also keep delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe records to operate email reliably and avoid sending unwanted messages. Security checks and rate limits help protect the form from automated abuse.

Our website platform, Ploy, runs analytics on this site to help us understand how it is used. It stores an anonymous identifier called ploy_anon_id in your browser, in a cookie or local storage, for about one year. It counts page views, clicks, how far you scroll, and form use. It does not identify you: visitor identification is off, and these counts are not forwarded to Google Analytics or Meta. We also count two waitlist steps, a request saved and an email confirmed, and those counts never include your email address.

Hosting and security services process technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details. These website measurements are separate from your email subscription choices.

Services involved

The website is hosted through Ploy and Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the signup form for automated abuse and processes technical information about your browser and connection. Supabase stores waitlist records, and Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) processes email delivery.

These services process information needed to provide hosting, security, storage, and email. Their own privacy information is available from Ploy, Cloudflare, Supabase, and Amazon Web Services.

Your email choices

Signing up here does not subscribe you to optional product news. The preferences link in a waitlist email lets you manage waitlist updates and product news separately, or leave the waitlist. Turning off updates does not by itself remove your place; leaving the waitlist does.

Leaving the waitlist is not the same as deleting all records. We may need to retain unsubscribe and security records to honor your choices and prevent abuse.

Questions and data requests

Contact hello@scribsy.ai to ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, or get help with an expired preference link. We may need to verify that the address belongs to you before acting on a request.
